REPORT CALLS BY OFFENSE - YEARS 2004 Through 2012
Offenses reported to the Sheriff's Office are not always chargeable crimes or true offenses. Though the Sheriff's Office generates a greater number of incidents, or calls for service, that deputies respond to, not all incidents require an offense report. For example, the Department receives many "suspicious activity" calls in a year. However, only 1 or 2 may require a report because an arrest is made on that call or criminal activity has been found. The statistics provided below are generated by the use of the Department's computer system and represent the majority of criminal activity reported in the County.
* Residential Burglaries only, does not include all types of burglaries such as sheds or unoccupied structures.
*2011 Report calls includes drug cases taken by the Lafayette County Drug Task Force.
